Warren Pitches for Pro-Choice Newcomer Cisneros

The race to push out anti-choice Democrat Congressman Henry Cuellar continues to heat up. U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren made an impassioned pitch on national TV last night for his opponent Jessica Cisneros. 

Cuellar finds himself in a runoff against political newcomer Cisneros in a race that most pundits saw as a long shot just a few months ago. The embattled incumbent Congressman, who is under an FBI investigation, has found himself on the wrong side of the newly reinvigorated abortion debate.

It is unusual for a Democratic incumbent to oppose a sitting colleague from their party. However, since the Supreme Court suffered a small moment of transparency that indicated they would allow bans on abortion, it appears that all of the usual norms are being set aside. After the TV appearance, Warren tweeted:
