Latina political upstart Jessica Cisneros continued to rack up endorsements in her fight to grab a seat away from Congressman Henry Cuellar. Cuellar is known as the only anti-choice Democrat in the House of Representatives. Cisneros captured the much-coveted Bernie Sanders endorsement. Known as "El Viejo" by youngish Latino/a voters, the Vermont Senator can make campaign cash and earnest volunteers rain in from the political heavens. The runoff election is on Tuesday. Will Cuellar survive Hurricane Sanders?

Beto O'Rourke continues to hit the campaign trail in his quest to become the Governor of the lone star state. Beto's big play has been to seize on Texas's electrical grid failures. Gov Greg Abbott had promised to fix the grid after its last year's mega-watt outages. Despite his promises, Abbot remained focused on social issues and ignored the simple day-to-day thing known as "governing." Right now in Austin, the lights are on but is anyone home?

In the nation's capital, Democrats proposed and passed a bill to increase the amount of infant formula available to anguished parents. The current formula shortage is a crisis that hits home for millions of Americans. The GOP punditry blamed immigrants and Biden for the lack of the much-needed nutrition. While loudly complaining of the shortage, two hundred GOP house members voted against the bill that would ease it. No matter what you do, some babies won't stop crying.
