Senators Propose "Common Sense" Gun Law
June 13, 2022
A bipartisan group of Senators announced modest but passable gun legislation. The proposed law is largely in response to the tragedy at Uvalde that led to the death of two teachers and 19 elementary school children.
Senators are referring to the proposal as "common sense" gun reform. Remember, "common sense" is the key phrase that you are about to hear and read thousands of times over the next few weeks. In this instance, "common sense" is being defined as: you don't have any of it if you are crazy enough to want people not to be able to buy handheld made-for-war killing machines.
My Tia used to tell me not to let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
