Dark Money Group to Latino Voters: Deregulate!

April 29, 2024

Ultra-conservative dark money moguls Koch brothers-funded group "LIBRE," which targets Latino voters, announced that they were unveiling a broad-based media attack on Biden's economic policies.

The group hopes to capitalize on what many polls indicate is a growing dissatisfaction among Latino voters with the current economy.

However, according to the New York Times, the organization's solutions for inflation are the same tired tactics originally used by conservatives in the 1970s.

The Times quotes Libre's chief executive, Jose Mallea, about the economy: "To reverse this trend, it's critical that Latino families learn what overspending and overregulating are doing to our country's economy—and prosperity."

As conservatives in the south deregulate laws that protect workers and allow for child labor, LatinovoterUSA.com hopes that this is not the type of policies that LIBRE and the billionaire Koch brothers are supporting.

As we exit the painful COVID shutdowns and Latino voters regain their financial footing, policymakers must heed economic concerns with policies that go beyond rhetoric and produce positive localized results.
