Political Earthquake or Terremoto? Political Pundits Shaken

Late-breaking ballots in the City of Los Angeles proved national pundits wrong as two young progressive Latina/o candidates made history. 

Eunisses Hernandez toppled a well-known incumbent, and Hugo Soto-Martinez led an officeholder into a run-off once most ballots were counted. Both candidates are left of center and championed renter's rights and compassionate policies toward the unhoused.
