New Mexico Gov May Call Back Lawmakers to Vote on Cannabis Bill

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is considering calling a special session of the State Legislature to consider a Cannabis legalization bill. KRQE reports that :

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has pushed for the broad legalization of marijuana in efforts to spur employment and economic recovery from the pandemic and is expected to sign the legislation if given the chance. That would make New Mexico the 16th U.S. state to authorize recreational marijuana sales.

The State just ended a chaotic session and lawmakers from both chambers are reluctant to return.
